Four letter word...

When ever we hear the phrase "four letter word" we automatically think of bad words. But I got to thinking of a four letter word that is so powerful it can change peoples lives.. LOVE... Loves doesn't have to be just between husband and wives or parents and children. Do you know how much the Lord loves you? If you were the last person on this earth He still would die for you. Now thats unconditional love. It says in the bible, "We love Him because He first loved us." 1 John 5:19
Have you ever heard someone say " well they don't know how to love?" Well I beg to differ on that one. We don't have to learn how to love. Love was given to us by the Lord himself. It tells us that in Romans 5:5. "Now hope does not disappoint because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who has given to us." The hardest part about loving according to the Lord is that we cannot pick and choose who we love and don't love. The lord tells us to love the people who have done us wrong. " But I say to you , love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you." Okay so that is easier said than done but as long as we try to follow His teachings the best we can and repent when we fall short we will be okay. So on an easier lovin scale. Remeber to love the ones your with. No matter the trials or tribulations. You might think you can do it on your own. Well I can tell you, you cant. Everyone has heard the ol' sayin " Two is better than one". That is in the bible. Yes thats right in the bible... "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls , for he has no one to help him up. Again, if two lie together, they will keep warm. But how can one be warm alone? " Ecclesiastes4:9-11
So I guess what I'm trying to say is live each day as if its your last, love like the Lord does, and don't take people for granted. Especially the one that is by your side right now... My final scripture of the night is... "And now these three remain, Faith, Hope and Love. But the greatest is LOVE." 1 Corinthians 13:13
God Bless each and everyone of you.
I would like to thank my father-in-law (Bud). You have brought me closer to the Lord. I will forever be greatful. Thanks dad. Love you.
